After living in the "green box" created by the forest's dense leaf cover all summer, it's nice to know my view is returning again. I look forward to getting the view back each fall.
I also saw a few flakes of snow this morning. I can't quite call what I saw flurries yet. That would be giving them far more importance than the reality. However, tonight and this weekend, that could change, as the forecast does include the possibility of flurries.

Ah the leaves are pretty much down here. What I have notice is that wind changes sound, there's no leaves sound. It's tab more quieter.
I'm taking part in a blog challenge. I have to post something everyday for thh month of nov. I'm doing at my typepad account. Tonight I'm just going grab an old poem. I just got home for work and really don't feel like typing something up.
I also like the open view with the leaves down. I especially enjoy seeing the contours of the land.
Beautiful pictures!
greetings from the philippines, i love the environment, i love the forest. wish we still have some. zimm
Cathy,
What a great observation! You're so right, too. The wind sounds a lot different without the leaves to give it sound.
Good luck with your blog challenge. I'll be sure to check your site! Thanks!

Zimm,
Thanks for visiting my site. I hope you are able to find some forest to enjoy where you are.

Lynne,
I start to feel just the vaguest bit claustrophobic after several months of living in my "green box." Having the open view that winter brings is one of the reasons I enjoy the season.
