Until then I am confined within the false fall of air conditioning, trying to avoid the humidity that turns everything and everyone to dripping water-logged shadows of our regular selves. It will only last another day.

I haven't been out in the woods lately, Carolyn, but the birders around my preserve reported lots of warblers on a torrid Saturday morning birdwalk. Their best find (by their account): a Hooded Warbler.
Hang in there! I sure hate humidity.
Scott: I haven't had warblers here yet--not that I usually see too many. I figured they weren't bothering to fly when the humidity is so high--harder for them to move then, too.
Joan: I hate humidity, too. Gets even worse as I get older, too.
