Be on the lookout!
There a decent chance for aurora borealis tonight and especially tomrrow night in the lower 48. On the nights of April 23-24, northern lights were spotted in more than a dozen states, including Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, Kansas, Wisconsin and both Dakotas.

Cloudy and rainy here, so no chance :( I thought I might have seen them last night, though. There were flashes of green in the sky...maybe?
Granny Sue: I might have had them the night of the 24th, too. Wasn't much. My area was partly cloudy, too, so I didn't have the greatest view in any event.
Last night I looked for them early, but didn't stay out for very long.
I think it's a rule that when northern lights are possible this far south, the sky will always be cloudy.
