Long-time readers of Roundtop Ruminations may remember that my beloved Dog died last spring. Baby Dog and I became a one-dog household. Until yesterday, when a new “baby dog” arrived at Carolyn’s cabin.
His name is Skye and he’s a Shetland Sheepdog. Still only 5 lbs and 8 weeks old, his small size is taking some getting used to. During Dog’s last months, I had to use a ramp and a sling to get him up and down the 5 steps at the cabin, and at 60 lbs. that was quite a chore for me. I decided then that my next dog would be smaller. At the moment Skye is smaller than the cats. That won’t last. I’m sure the cats are hoping it will.
Congrats. He's a cutie.
ReplyDeleteForget the cats! How's Baby Dog taking to the new "interloper"?
ReplyDeleteSkye is incredibly cute! I'll not share this post with Kali or we'll have yet ANOTHER animals in our menagerie.)
What a cutie! Wish I could give him a hug. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteOh!!!! How cute!!!! I'm glad you got another dog :) Hope everybody is getting along. Looking forward to seeing more pic.

Good looking dog! We've had a few Shelties over the years. Smart and fun loving. A nice addition to your household.
ReplyDeleteSam: Thanks! He's a little bundle of energy.
ReplyDeleteScott: Baby Dog is doing okay with Skye, though sometimes I think she's perplexed by his antics. I do have to supervise, as she can be a bit too rough with him when they are playing.
ReplyDeleteJacquie: He is a cutie, so cute it's hard to correct him when he just looks so cute
ReplyDeleteCathy: so far, everyone is getting along at least reasonably well. Mouse the cat is his best buddy probably because the two are closest in size.
ReplyDeleteSabine: Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLinda: He's a cutie and fast too. Faster than I am, that's for sure!
ReplyDeletePablo: I can already tell that Skye is smart. And full of himself.
